There's another one!

I love making these characters. 

In time for Halloween

I have spent ages making this piece and developing her face and Im really rather pleased with her. She is needlefelted and wet felted. With a wire armature. 

Her broom is made from real twigs from my local woods.

She has fully posable head, arms, hands and fingers so you can position her in a variety of ways.

Her hair is blended merino and her cloak is wet felted using merino and Zawarble wool.

Complete with a spider on her lapel, a frog in her pocket and a black cat who sits permanetly on her cloak until her is ready to fly off that is.

She is ready to make a feature in your Halloween display.

Feeling proud.

I like this little fella ( no name yet) not because I like his face, especially his eyes. But because I have used my first hand dyed wool using my first washed and carded fleece.

Lots of Easter bunnies!

I had the honour of teaching a lovely group of ladies from the Lancashire federation of the W.I.

We had a wonderful time making Easter bunnies and ladybirds too.

And as you can see they all had their own individual characters! 

I love them all.

Raymond Van Barneveld 40th birthday surprise!

I while ago I was asked if I could make a felted darts player, Raymond Van Barneveld for an avid fans 40th birthday.

 Well I'm always up for a challenge, so I said yes.  I must admit there were times where I thought I'd bitten off more I could chew, with a few complications along the way. 

After looking at photos of 'Barney' for the last few months I must say I feel like I've got to know him and when I delivered him today I actually felt quite sad letting him go! 

I would say he is my best face to date but I'm still learning and have a long way to go and now, well I'm ready for my next challenge....

I enjoyed doing the details on the shirt

The darts were pins wrapped in wool and felted.

A bit of 2D felting, so much quicker to do.

Ears ears and more ears

What is it about me and ears?

Felting ears that is... They end up either too big or too small but I think these ones will be just right for this fella.
